Romance on the Rails

Couple Ever thought you'd meet the love of your life while commuting on public transportation? Join us for an exciting party on Caltrain designed for singles looking to meet other singles!

Hosted by Caltrain, Table for Six and the Peninsula Traffic Congestion Relief Alliance, the "Romance on the Rails" party will take place on Tuesday, June 14, 2005. The party will begin with registration at the San Francisco Caltrain Station (4th & King streets) . Shortly after 6, the train will take off for Menlo Park, and the fun begins with "ice breaker" activities and other games for everyone to get to know each other. When the train arrives in Menlo Park shortly after 7, the party continues at the BBC Bar and Restaurant just steps away from the Caltrain Menlo Park Station.

Everyone attending will have a chance to win several prizes, such as a free one-year membership to Table for Six (a $1,600 value), a month-long pass for Caltrain and other entertainment gift certificates.

A separate Caltrain rail car will be designated for this event, so participation is limited to the first 80 singles that register. To ensure a space, please register ASAP!

Did You Know?

Judging from the high number of people that have met their spouses while riding public transit, there is an even larger number of singles who have missed out on meeting the person of their dreams because they were too shy or didn't have a good way to "break the ice" while riding to and from work.

Some intrepid singles in the San Francisco
Bay Area have even been known to take public transportation to out-of-their-way destinations, solely for the purposes of meeting someone special!

Every workday, Bay Area commuters spend more than 155,000 extra hours in traffic - that's 17 years of wasted time that they could be using to meet their dream partner!
