Route Description

Station: Foster City Red Line Shuttle
This shuttle follows the SamTrans 251 route, Monday through Friday, stopping at the SamTrans bus stops from the Hillsdale Shopping Center to the Bridgepointe Shopping Center.

This shuttle is free to riders.

Shuttle Loading Area
The shuttle begins from the Hillsdale Shopping Center at the SamTrans 251 bus stop on W. Hillsdale Blvd. across the street from Old Navy and Barnes & Noble.

Shuttle Service Holiday
The shuttle observes a number of holidays each year. On these "Service Holidays," this route will not be in operation. Following is the list of non-service days:
• New Year's Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day

Unless noted elsewhere, the shuttle will maintain its normal schedule on days not observed as "Shuttle Holidays."

Rider Alerts

8/30/10 - Labor Day Holiday

This Alliance managed shuttle will NOT be operating on Monday, September 6, 2010 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.  Shuttle service will resume on Tuesday, September 7th.

 

6/23/10 - eRiderAlert Notification

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to provide automatic RiderAlert notifications at this time.  To resolve this issue in the future, we are working to implement RSS feeds for our Rider Alerts section.  Please check back soon for additional information.

 

6/10/10 - Red Line Service Reduction

Due to budget cuts, the City of Foster City will no longer provide a Westbound Red Line vehicle effective Thursday, July 1, 2010.  Eastbound Red Line service will remain.

Westbound Options:

  • Ride the SamTrans 251 bus in either direction.
  • Ride the “Express” Red Line bus from
    Bridgepointe Shopping Center to the Hillsdale Mall.
