How to Book a Trip

Call (650) 248-9643 the day before or up to seven days in advance of your trip to reserve a pick up and drop off within the service area. The driver is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish.

Please leave a message CLEARLY stating your name and phone number as well as the day, date and time of your requested trip.

Please also let the driver know how many people are in your party as well as if any riders require wheelchair access. The reason for this last item is to let the driver know to allow additional time in scheduling the pick up as well as looking for a safe pick up location that is accessible to the vehicle's wheelchair lift.

The driver will return your call and confirm it - or reschedule your trip to an alternate time if your requested time is unavailable. If your message is left during the driver's shift, your call will be returned as soon as it is safe to do so, otherwise your call will be returned the next service morning (Tuesday through Saturday excluding holidays). Don't forget to reserve your return trip too.

Please do NOT call the Supervisor or the Alliance offices if you are requesting a trip reservation. Reservations are ONLY taken and confirmed by the driver at (650) 248-9643.

5/14/09: REVISED SCHEDULE 6/1/09

Due to a recent surge in ridership, the shuttle is now having difficulty meeting its current schedule. Beginning on Monday, June 1, 2009, the service will have a new schedule and revised routing to better accommodate the employer participants.

A flag stop will be added for Genentech riders in the morning, just after the intersection of Broadway & Douglas. In the afternoon, a new stop will be added across the street at the intersection stop sign in the outbound direction. See stop #6 on the new schedule.

A new stop will be added at the Stanford Medicine Outpatient Clinic. It will be located just beyond the valet stand on the north end of the complex near the existing 475 Broadway stop. See stop #5 on the new schedule. Due to timing concerns, the shuttle will not be able to make courtesy stops at other locations in the Stanford Medicine complex.

The service will no longer be routed via the residential neighborhood back to the Caltrain station, but rather staying on Broadway in both the inbound and outbound directions.

The morning schedule will remain essentially the same. The evening schedule had to be reduced due to the new travel times and our budget of only six daily service hours. While we had to eliminate two of the current trips, we feel the ridership has a better chance at consistently catching the other connecting trains.

6/29/09: BART STRIKE SHUTTLE CONTINGENCY INFORMATION

Should a possible BART strike occur on or about early July, the Oyster Point & Utah-Grand BART shuttles will operate a special two-bus combined route schedule to/from the SSF BART station. The station stop will be moved to a temporary location on Mission Road & Evergreen Drive (north side of BART Station) along with the SamTrans buses.  A shuttle will leave every 30 minutes from the station between 6a & 9:30a serving the Oyster Point route first and the Utah-Grand route second. Then depart 1120 Veterans Blvd every 30 minutes between 3p & 6:30p serving all Oyster Point stops followed by Utah-Grand stops en route to SSF BART. Expect possible shuttle service delays due to traffic.

East Bay riders able to get to downtown San Francisco may also consider taking MUNI Metro to the SF Caltrain station then riding Caltrain to the SSF Caltrain station then the appropriate shuttle to your work site. Be advised that not all trains serve the SSF Caltrain station.  Please review all appropriate rail/shuttle timetables as the Caltrain shuttles will ONLY be able to operate their regular service due to funding limitations.
