We developed this research to serve as a resource for our local city leaders and planners, but anyone is welcome to make use of it. If you would like to download the spreadsheet as an Excel file, click here.
This project began in 2015 when the City of San Mateo, seeking to develop bike and scooter share programs, sought our research compiling and comparing micromobility programs in other cities. Finding none, they conducted their own. We recently began to update their work to capture all the new changes in the landscape, beginning with the program timelines and policies of Bay Area cities and counties.
While it's currently limited to Bay Area programs, we are working on more tabs with the latest information on companies, other cities with notable programs, and reports and resources.
